"Pavilion" is the most distinctive feature of the Chashan tribe. In Chashan Village, every family has their own pavilion. The establishment of pavilions is closely related to the tribe's concept of "sharing culture". In the past, when people returned from hunting or had a good harvest, they would gather at the pavilion to share food and joy with each other. When they shared, they would say "aveoveoyu," which means "my heart is joyful." Although there are few hunting activities nowadays, the pavilion still means a lot to all of us!
The annual Pavilion Festival in Chashan Village is not only an internal sharing festival on the first day, but also an event on the second and third days that allows visitors to visit 66 pavilions with a map which looks like a hidden treasure; each pavilion has a commentary and a display of local agricultural products. Those who finish visiting each of the 66 pavilions will receive a souvenir.
